| The Project to End Disease (TPED) |
|
America is faced with an
unprecedented challenge – an aging population and an out-of-control
epidemic of chronic and degenerative disease that threaten to bankrupt
our nation. In spite of this, breakthroughs in our understanding of the causes of
disease make it possible to end most disease now.
The mission of TPED is to
educate every man, woman, and child to meet this unprecedented challenge by
taking control of their own health. TPED will work to:
- Focus attention on preventing and reversing the underlying causes of disease,
rather than treating the symptoms of disease.
- Educate
every American, especially our children, in the fundamentals of good
health—nutrition, toxins, exercise, lifestyle, and stress management.
- Make health a national priority - and transform the nation’s focus from sick-care to health-care.
When we do this, we will
-
Substantially reduce our nation’s healthcare costs, as well as
unnecessary human suffering;
-
Restore Americans to healthy habits;
-
Attain longer life; and
-
Achieve the highest mental, physical, and
spiritual development for each individual.
